Investing is exciting, challenging and potentially lucrative. Unless you take the necessary precautions, however, investing can also be very dangerous.  This is why we urge all current and future investors to attend FUND’s upcoming Investor Protection workshop. 

The British Columbia Securities Commission, the regulator of the financial and investment services in BC, is teaming with FUND to assist SFU students in becoming market-savvy.  Let us provide you with the foundation of knowledge need to:

• recognize and report scams
• choose a trustworthy financial advisor
• conduct background checks
• and more!   

Remember, we make investments in our lives every day.  Scams and investment fraud are surprisingly common right here in Vancouver, making young, inexperienced investors especially vulnerable.  

Don’t fall victim.  An education is the best protection against investment scams.
