»Student Entrepreneur of the Year (SEY)

SFU’s Student Entrepreneurship of the Year 2009 is based on the idea that competition fuels innovation, motivation equals perspiration, and risk provides an even sweeter reward. SEY will put the students of Simon Fraser University to the test in a high-stakes environment like no other.

Student Entrepreneur of the Year competition reaches across all eight of SFU’s faculties and its three campuses, capturing the attention of more than 25,000 students. Since Student Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 is expanding the event to include a workshop and panel portion open to undergraduate, graduate students, and the local community, the exposure of this event will be greatly increased.

This year for SEY, there will be two competitions: the Student Entrepreneur of the Year and Best New Student Entrepreneur.

A workshop and panel session scheduled before the competition event will be of interest to all entrepreneurially-minded SFU students, whether they have an existing business or are just thinking about starting one.
