Becoming a member of SIFE/ACE provides students with the opportunities they need to be successful in future endeavors. There are many benefits, including:

• Travel: Associate Members of SIFE are eligible to travel to the ACE National Exposition in Calgary. This event provides students with the valuable experience to see what other SIFEteams across the country are doing and to meet influential Canadian business leaders.
• Networking: SIFE members are given many opportunities to meet the local, national, and global business community; entrepreneurs; our Business Advisory Board; and other students.
• Facilities: SIFE members are able to make use of our office in the Faculty of Business Administration, located in Burnaby at WMX 2371 and in Surrey at room 5010. Associate Members can make full uses of the resources here, including computer, telephone, and fridge.
• Socials: SIFE hosts several parties a year, from club nights to social dinners! Most recently, we held a joint event with the Fraser Valley Technology Network - the Small Business Mixer - which had students and entrepreneurs mingling over drinks and appies.
• Experience: The greatest benefit of SIFE is the experience a student gains by being involved in our program. By volunteering with projects and supporting a team, students gain practical experience that will supplement their in-class learning. You’ll learn we can make a difference.
• Jobs and Workterms: SIFE shows employers you have the tenacity and real-life experience to get things done. Employers specifically look for for SIFE members because they recognize the difference these people are making and the skills they develop along the way.
